There is continual innovation in the BPM space. Multiple attempts have been made to integrate people readable process descriptions (e.g., TIBCO Nimbus) and technical representations (e.g., BPMN, EPC). Although these two different worlds can coexist they don’t integrate. One of the most interesting recent developments therefore, is a project named Apromore (Advanced Process Repository), a joint initiative of several technical universities (click here for an overview). Basically this is the first serious attempt to join these two worlds. For further and detailed information, please do have a look at Apromore and Process Configuration.
